SWEETER TOMORROW: Nature-oriented packaging

BioB team is grateful for the nature of given resources, and in return, we are committed to constantly improving our earth-friendly packaging solutions. That is why we have chosen sugarcane plastic for our bottles and post-consumer recycled resin for our pumps and labels.

Why Sugarcane Plastic packaging?

BioB tries to be as natural as possible from the inside out. Instead of using plastic from fossil fuels, BioB bottles are made from sugarcane plastic – a renewable source that needs little more than natural rainfall to grow. Not bad, huh?

Sugarcane bottles are as sturdy as fossil fuels plastics and at the same time, it is recyclable. As sugarcane grows in the sustainable land in Brazil it absorbs CO2 from the air and produces oxygen for the planet.

The sugarcane is transformed into ethanol used to create a “green” polyethylene. The resulting biopolymer has the same properties as conventional high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and is an eco-friendly, potentially carbon-negative alternative – saving CO2 rather than producing it.

Our friends at M&H, who produce our BioB bottles, says that every kilogram of the green sugarcane plastic produced results in 3.09kg of CO2 being removed from the air.
